Byington Vineyards & Winery is a boutique winery producing Award Winning Wines in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We are a full wine production facility with a tasting room and event spaces that cater to corporate and private groups. We are a dedicated group of hospitality professionals looking to grow our team. Byington Vineyard & Winery Event Staff We are looking for highly organized candidates with excellent interpersonal skills for the position of event staff. This is an ad-hoc position, once an event is booked we will reach out to see your availability. Event staff is responsible for working under the instructions of an event manager, welcoming guests, setting up and breaking down events, pouring wine, and checking equipment against an inventory list, among other duties. Moreover, event staff needs to constantly be on their feet and attend to the many needs of event-goers, requiring physical stamina and high energy levels. Must be 21+ Event Staff Responsibilities: Setting up venue for events, including chairs, tables, and other equipment. Operating Point of Sale system. Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Docs & Sheets. Working under the instructions of an Event Manager. Ensuring the event space is clean and organized. Ensuring excellent levels of customer service. Assuming the role of checking-in and welcoming guests. Working at a wine bar & buffet table serving food and drinks. Dispensing useful information to event-goers. Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list. Packing up equipment when the event is completed. Event Staff Requirements: Ability to work on weekends & holidays Hospitality Experience Required, Event Experience Preferred. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable transportation & ability to show up on time. Outstanding organizational skills. Diligence and attention to detail. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor. Excellent written and verbal communication. Physical stamina and high energy levels. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to perform under stress. Excellent multitasking ability.
