Interior Designer Location Hybrid work in Portland, OR :

Overview We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our award winning team at Glow. While we are still a startup firm, Glow has an excellent national reputation as experts in Senior Living Design. If you are passionate about designing spaces that make a difference, and if you like to have fun and learn a lot while doing it, Glow may be a great fit for you. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating environments that foster vitality and wellness, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for interior spaces.
  • Develop design concepts that align with client goals while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Create detailed design plans using software tools such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Prepare presentations and mood boards to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Select materials, furnishings, colors, and finishes that enhance the overall aesthetic of the space.
  • Oversee remodeling projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and make necessary adjustments.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of designs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions.

Skills

  • Seeking candidates with 2-15 years experience working in an Architecture or Interior Design firm in Senior Living, Multifamily or Hospitality Design. Pay scale is variable based on relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, REVIT, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Word).
  • Strong understanding of color theory and its application in interior design.
  • Excellent budgeting skills to manage project costs effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate design concepts clearly to clients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $56,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
