Join Our Team as a Lead LVN!

Summary:

Are you ready to take your nursing career to the next level? As a Lead LVN, you will play a vital role in providing direction, leadership, and accountability for our Medical Assistants. Under general supervision, you will perform a variety of direct nursing care functions for patients across different stages of care, from acute to chronic. Your expertise will ensure that our patients receive the best possible care in accordance with nursing care plans and physicians' orders.

In this dynamic role, you will also serve as a Referral Coordinator, managing all patient referrals and authorization requests. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a team environment and demonstrates trust and respect towards colleagues, physicians, and management alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and Respond: Recognize routine, urgent, or emergency situations and follow procedures for scheduling and obtaining necessary referrals and authorizations.
• Welcoming Patients: Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring their comfort while waiting to be seen. Document essential demographic, insurance, and financial information accurately.
• Assist Physicians: Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assess their conditions, and document vital signs and chief complaints. You’ll perform various procedures, including EKGs, stress tests, and more.
• Streamline Authorizations: Expedite authorization requests through the Managed Care System, ensuring all forms are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications and observe patients for any adverse reactions, reporting them promptly to medical personnel.
• Wound Care: Dress wounds, apply compresses, and utilize necessary medical equipment to ensure patient comfort and care.
• Sample Collection: Collect and perform routine laboratory tests on patient samples.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Sterilize equipment and ensure the cleanliness of exam rooms and instrumentation according to clinic policies.
• Supply Management: Order clinical supplies as needed to maintain operational standards.
• Incident Documentation: Document all incidents in compliance with regulations and dispose of contaminated items properly.
• Lead the Team: Guide Medical Assistants in improving patient flow and monitor workflow for efficiency.
• Adapt Care: Tailor assessment and treatment methods to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Current LVN License in the state of employment or compact.
• BLS Certification.
• Certification in relevant areas (CERT).
