Join Our Team as a Professional Nurse!

Summary:

Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of patients? As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing care to clinic patients under supervision. Collaborating closely with our dedicated providers, you will help facilitate quality care in a supportive team environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver general nursing care and administer treatments in line with nursing standards.
• Assist in preparing equipment and support providers during patient examinations and treatments.
• Observe, record, and report patients’ conditions and reactions to treatments.
• Manage appointment bookings, prioritizing emergency situations to ensure a smooth patient flow.
• Welcome patients, gather comprehensive histories, and prepare them for physical exams.
• Instruct patients on sample collection and tests.
• Perform various tasks as per established procedures, including vital signs, patient assessments, and specimen collections.
• Respond to incoming calls and manage prescription refills as directed by providers.
• Maintain patient files and ensure exam rooms are prepared and stocked.
• Participate in professional development and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Support the CHRISTUS Health mission and maintain confidentiality.
• Engage in team meetings and contribute to committees as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

What We’re Looking For:

Education & Skills:

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical or vocational nursing.

Experience:

• Previous medical office experience is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Valid state nursing license.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
