Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new textile/apparel products from concept to launch, ensuring they meet the company's high standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and market competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure smooth product development processes.
  • Utilize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools to manage all stages of the product lifecycle, from initial concept through to retirement.
  • Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective product development.
  • Use color vision skills to ensure the accurate representation of products in all marketing and sales materials.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on product development progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to propose and implement innovative solutions to product development challenges.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, preferably within the textile/apparel sector.
  • Proven experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
  • Exceptional color vision, with the ability to accurately differentiate and match colors.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to a wide range of audiences.
  • A passion for innovation, with a constant desire to stay ahead of industry trends and developments.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
