  • AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

The role you’ll contribute: The Director Patient Experience serves as a change agent for AdventHealth Tampa and the West Florida Division. He/she is responsible for directing consulting, education and initiatives to drive excellence in patient and family experience throughout the organization. This role is instrumental in driving the organization in understanding current external and internal dynamics of patient and family centered care and experience, across the continuum of care. The Director develops and monitors a strategic plan for both consulting and education for patient experience, leveraging evidence based best practices. This includes creating programs, development plans, interpreting and segmenting patient experience data for AdventHealth Tampa - developing hypotheses; presenting, communicating and making recommendations across all units and departments regarding interactions, processes and environment resulting from findings. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The Director has a strong foundation and understanding of patient experience surveys and statistical concepts, ensuring that strategies are deployed based on results and greatest need. This highly visible role engages with senior executives and is seen as an expert in the field of patient and family experience. The Director leads a team of patient experience resources that serve AdventHealth Tampa. The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Confidently and effectively partners with physicians around communication with patients and families, sharing expertise in a direct yet diplomatic manner.
  • Understands, analyzes and translates statistical patient experience results, allowing identification of best practice and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
  • Bachelor's in Nursing.
  • 10 years experience.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure.
