About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inpatient Medical Coder to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS codes to inpatient medical records to ensure accurate billing and compliance with federal regulations. Key Responsibilities: Review inpatient medical records and assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes. Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with official coding guidelines and payer requirements. Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve documentation discrepancies. Maintain productivity and quality standards as defined by the department. Stay current with coding updates, regulations, and best practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be certified in either: CCA, CCS, CPC, CPC-A, RHIA or RHIT 5+ Years of inpatient medical coding experience Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG assignment. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and coding software. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
