You’ll drive the design, development, and deployment of critical software solutions across Spur’s technology stack, directly supporting our innovative education services platforms. Your expertise will help advance Spur’s proprietary technologies, ensuring Spur remains the most trusted and technologically advanced partner in education services.

Product and Technology Innovation

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, delivering quality experiences to our customers across our tech stack
• Oversee integration and optimization of third-party tools (Metabase, Twilio, Postmark) ensuring efficient and effective system interoperability

System Availability and Stability

• Ensure high availability and optimal performance of Spur’s hosted platforms (Heroku, AWS, Firebase)
• Proactively address technical issues, maintain system health through diagnostics, and ensure robust data management practices
• Drive strategic initiatives to enhance platform reliability, scalability, and user experience

Team Collaboration

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, clear communication, and shared responsibility among engineering teams
• Engage with stakeholders and cross-functional teams using tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Figma for planning, documentation, and design
• Clearly communicate technology strategies and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• 5+ years experience in software engineering, ideally with a comprehensive understanding of complex platforms similar to Spur’s tech stack
• Strong proficiency in modern development tools and languages (PHP, React, Python), cloud platforms (Heroku, AWS, Firebase), CI/CD tools (Travis, Bitrise), and AI-
• Experience with AI-driven platforms or staffing technologies is highly desirable
• Excellent problem-solving skills, rigorous attention to detail, and clear, confident communication abilities
