The Peer Support Specialist / Wellness & Recovery Specialist is responsible for follow up on crisis call activities focused on the Wellness and Recovery for the Nevada 988 Crisis callers. This role requires associates to be in-office 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Hours vary with shifts from 9am to 6:30pm across the week. Responsibilities include identifying and facilitating opportunities to involve callers and their families in developing a supportive recovery network; serving as a resource for callers, their families, and community members by aiding in decision-making and problem-solving efforts; establishing open and supportive communication with assigned individuals and service providers to assess and track members' responses to services; offering follow-up assistance to callers for whom mobile crisis interventions were initiated but did not take place; supporting callers who have visited the emergency department but were discharged or left before appropriate placement arrangements could be made. Minimum requirements include an AA/AS degree and minimum 2 years of experience in health services or behavioral health field or peer support services role, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and Peer Specialist Certification in Nevada. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in crisis work and call center environment, BA/BS or MBA, community experience and knowledge of local resources, previous peer specialist experience, and bilingual Spanish skills.
